A via ferrata (Italian for "iron road", plural vie ferrate or in English via ferratas) is a protected climbing route found in the Alps and certain other locations.

Well, Sabah has one. I mean the route. Check the details here. In fact, this one is World's Highest Via Ferrata. This is what im planning to do in Sabah.

I have few best  friends that i wanted to bring along, just for the fun of it, and for the experience they had. We have known each other for a long time, and i think its time to test their trust.. i mean their skills doing this climb.

I was in Ranau last year during the earthquake and it was a terrifying experience, especially i was there with my family. But, that doesnt stop me from wanting to climb Mount Kinabalu again.

I climbed it back in 2004, but it was cloudy and slightly drizzling, so no nice sunrise picture available for me to show off with anyone. and photo taken using films is.. never mind.

So, i wanted to climb again, and this time, im gonna bring my best friends, my best camera (digital, not the film one) and hoping for the best climb in my life (and sunrise too).
Throughout the years, i became fond to photography and i wish to get some good shots while climbing this route.

Climbing always thought me about patient and team work. How human depends on tools and each other to survive. Respect the nature the most, and you shall pass. (ok i just made that up). Well, i hope by getting your attention the first step to realizing my dreams become reality. Next one : clothing, gears and stuff, well.. i will think about that later.

Oh did i mentioned that this trip includes mountain biking @ Kundasang? During my last trip back in 2004, we had a great time cycling around Kg. Kiau.
Yes, we did bring our own MTBs for this, and the adrenaline rush going down those steep unpaved road was surreal. So i think instead of water rafting (which is awesome as well) this one is less done because of the arrangement. But doable. So i hope that i can make this trip a reality :) Some of the pictures from 2004 :

Its more like a training running session, and if you wish not to, dance fitness with Suhaili Micheline was another option.

Other booth activities including Chiropractic Alignment, Optimum Nutrition Sampling, Corny Sampling and free Body checkups.

We gathered around 6.30am before starting at 7.15am.
Each of us were given a wristband and discount voucher.

@ Pocket Park KL

We joined the same route as the KL Car Free Morning programme, carrying a red balloon each as id. We followed the flow and finish where we started. Weather was fine that morning but not too many participants joined the KL Car Free Morning programme, prolly because of the holiday season. It was fun running around KL City with no traffic to worry about. How i wish a running events where we got the road to ourselves, just like this one. :)

Post race - had the chance to join the dance fitness and session ends around 9am. It was enjoyable and hope to join the series again, next year. :)

Run For Your Lives Malaysia 2016

WARNING: Zombie Apocalypse Infecting Malaysia this December!

Prepare yourselves, your friends and your family for the most exhilarating game of zombie flag tag in the world!  Run For Your Lives will be making its return to Malaysia this 31 December 2016 at Taman Botani Negara, Shah Alam (Previously set at Taman Botani Putrajaya).

This unique fun run is set in the world of a rapidly spreading zombie apocalypse, caused by an unknown virus. Participants can choose whether to run as a ‘Survivor’ (human) or a Zombie. Gameplay is pretty simple – the humans will have to outrun the zombies, who have the goal of ‘capturing’ the humans. With just one touch the humans will turn into zombies, causing further infection, whilst the cities will quickly deteriorate due to the destruction caused by the zombies.
The journey to the end of the course, the safe zone, will not be easy. Humans will need their wits, agility, speed and stamina to escape the zombies’ clutches. Zombies need to be quick, decisive and agile to infect as many humans as possible.

Run, like your life depending on it! (Psstt.. its your tag they after!)

Other than zombies, there will be various obstacles to be overcome on the long road to safety, including:
  • The Blood Pit: Survivors need to make their way through a pit filled with blood
  • The Ladder: Survivors need to climb over a ladder to ditch the zombies
  • The Crawl Fence: Survivors need to crawl under a long fence
  • The Smoke House: A dark place filled with smoke and without any lighting
  • Finish Area: Survivors need to crawl in order to make it to the Survivor area

Additionally, there will be three story modes:
  • The Living Room: A living room filled with zombies
  • The Slaves Vault: A place where zombies are caged and tied up
  • The Slaughter House: A place where the dead and undead comes together

Not only that, Run For your Lives Malaysia will be set at night for the first time ever! Participants will get to experience double the horror, double the difficulty and most importantly - double the fun this year. Run For Your Lives Malaysia will be having a countdown party after the run with entertainment and activities for all! Participants can enjoy brain eating, blood sucking, nerf shooting, tug of war, compete in the best costume contest and more!

Besides the adrenaline pumping music beats, the New Year’s Eve countdown party will feature a slew of world renowned DJ’s including DJ Nikki and dance crew, Soul Vixenz!
