What an exciting and tiring weekend it was. Few events back to back, and one of it was this. Our kind a favourite food hunt adventure. Makan-makan. Makan dengan cara paling pantas :P
Tahun ni masuk tahun ke-3 kitaorg join hunt ni, same team mate. Kenapa pulak nak bold n highlightkan statement ni? xpe untuk sambung cerita hujung2 nanti.

| Keep calm and strategize |
Macam biasa tiba hari yang dinanti2 kitaorg datang tanpa expectation yang terlalu tinggi. Top 3 cukuplah. Yang penting strategist kami, Fakri alert tentang tempat mana yang perlu kami pergi dulu, tempat mana yang last bila dpt passport nanti. dua org muscle kitaorg, Lek n Ellah dah setahun menyediakan perut diaorg utk event ni.. hehe.. me? kinda tag along jer lah. makan yang light2 je dlm hunt ni. Basically hunt ni its all about food. Malaysian food. find the right eatery and eat. So if you are not too fond of tempoyak and such, forget it. cant stand sambal belacan? forget it. for us, thats the job for our muscle guys, sbb me n Fakri is not that heavy eater.
Each team were provided with a passport and an envelope with a couple set of puzzle to complete. Kiddy puzzle but.. but.. still there's team with uncomplete puzzle when then report at CP 9 later. haa.. then you will feel not that kiddy failing the whole effort that day.
Short briefing were given by the C.O.C right before the flag off around 10am.
Why need a strategy? makan2 jer lah. Nop. As although its weekend, the traffic can be kind a bad at certain area. And u need to be alert about any other events related to that day. So we decided to go for the nearest CP (check point) first.
CP 1 : Kedai Murah Meriah - Kampung Baru.
Menu : Nasi Putih + Teluk Itik Masak Cili Padi (Lek doin his thing)
Googable : No. Just found their old FB account.
CP 2 : MZ Darul Naim - Chow Kit (near Baitumal)
Menu : Nasi Dagang n Kari Ikan Tongkol (Ellah's turn)
Googable : Yes
CP 3 :Dapur Muor Asam Pedas @ Danau Kota
Menu : Mee Bandung
Googable : Yes
Ok lah since this is a light meal, then its my turn! as i said, look carefully at the picture and see how did i finish my meal. Simple je. hehe.. took a while as the gravy bit spicy/hot. Yes, got to separate the noodle and the gravy.
With constant nagging from my team mates telling me to finish as fast as i could, yup, mmg stress. haha.. but we kinda used to that and when its their turn, tunggu lah korang aku bahan.
CP 4 : Burger Bakar Kaw-Kaw Wangsa Maju
Menu : Fried chicken Burger or something. Big portion for a small guy like Fakri.

Additional task : Cari gam untuk tampal puzzle
CP 5 : Restoran Asam Pedas Setiawangsa
Menu : white rice + ikan masak asam pedas (Lek took a turn)

Setiap ahli kumpulan dibenarkan 'makan' dua kali sahaja. Agak ketat rules tahun ni sebab marshal nak check dua2 belah tangan dahulu sebelum benarkan team utk proceed.
Once done, we proceed to Sungai Penchala. At this point the taxi driver was doing a really great job without missing a turn.
On the way there, we took the time to arrange our puzzle.

CP 6 :Mie Cord Char Kuey Teow @ Kg Sungai Penchala (Near the Kg Sungai Penchala Mosque)
Menu : Char Kuey Teow + Sirap Ais
Googable : Yes
My turn! But we waited for around 10 minutes or so as the queue was quite long, and only 3 serving were served at a time. so the longer you took to finish your meal, the longer other teams have to wait. be considerate :) eat as fast as you can. eat it, i mean EAT IT together with your sirap ais.. haha.. (ok itu salah satu tips juga)

CP 7 : Sup Meletup @ Bandar Seri Permaisuri
Menu : Sup Ayam kalu tak silap. Yang Panas2 tu diaorg soh hirup. Camne tu? Boleh.. ada caranya.. hehe.. Fakri amik task ni.

CP 8 :Family Corner @ Bandar Tun Razak (behind BP Petrol Station)
Menu :Laksa Penang (Ellah took a turn)
Googable : Nop. Have to make few phone calls to find this place.

Yeah! We made it to the finish line around 12.15 pm. Patutnya awal lagi. dok Wefie dulu bagai. Kena marah ngan Fakri.. haha.. (thats explain the angry face in the picture)
It was kind a short and fast-paced hunt this year, as other teams were like 10-15 minutes just behind us. So its kinda food race towards the end.
Prize giving ceremony began around 3.3o pm. Memang excited kali ni. Tak sangka we gonna win the title for the 2nd year in a row. Alhamdulillah mmg tak sangka. (gambar atas stage kendian sbb gmbr yg ada mmg blur/gelap)

It was overwhelming that we won for the 2nd year in a row, but bit sad to hear such negative comment about how we cheated (diaorg mesti dah chop passport ni siap2, sebab tu laju giler boleh sampai awal) .. ish ish.. ok please refer to the statement i've highlighted earlier. So we doing this the right way. our way. but didnt break any rules while at it. x perlu lah nak komen2 mulut busuk camtu okeh? Kitaorg pun dah lama join, so we know how to play it. :) besides, if you knew who else competing that day, mesti korang tak percaya. Yup, ada runner yang mmg podium tiap kali ada event running yang join, even peserta Ikon Patriotik pun join! tu belum campur geng2 comper dan rakan2 larian yang memang pantas. So kena laju sket dari diaorg ni utk menang! :)
As u can notice, this year its more on Nasi and hot steamy food like masak lemak and asam pedas. How to eat something that just cooked under 30s? haa.. if you were lucky to see how our team eat em, then you already know how to beat us next year!
